July 16, A commission~

So this is Dior~ I painted her a while ago, and it is an example of when the client needs to be clear about what they want-  

I didn't see the ribbons in the photo, so I painted Dior without ribbons first~

And then my patron asked where the ribbons were!  And I realized what I had thought was something in the background, were actually blue ribbons on sweet Dior's ears!

Isn't that just so much better?

And DO please send me your dog photos for this year's "30 Dogs in 30 Days" Daily Painting Project!  Usually I paint them in July but what with one big giant event and another, I just figured August would be better~
