July 6, Mecca for Maryanna!

And this is my friend Maryanna's son's dog, Mecca! I love painting black dogs- and this one had to be done fast this morning- I'm packing up otters and bears and heading north for the day! Come see me if you can at the Tettegouche Visitor Center this eve, 7-8:30!

Mecca is a terrier mix. She is wildly energetic and will fetch a ball a hundred times in a row and still will want more. She is very intelligent and has an adorable way of tilting her head when you ask her a question as if she's debating whether she'll answer it. She is 10 years old, but you would never guess it without the grey underneath her chin. Treats are important when it comes to interacting with new dogs. They're the only chance of obedience. New people, on the other hand, will have fresh scratches on their legs from her pouncing on them with excitement.

8x8 acrylic on wood, sold!
