August 11th! DOOR COUNTY!

I am at the Peninsula School of Art in Door County studying with Carol Marine, an incredible artist and teacher who has a daily paint blog that I follow, and have totally forgotten about putting a link to in my own blog!
Anyway, this has been an AWESOME week and I thought I'd maybe better start posting things every day too, since I do want to try to paint daily and it will never be the perfect time for it so I may as well do it NOW.

Left boot from Porto Portugal

so here are a couple things i've painted here....

Recent Paintings, 2008

Okay, these are recent paintings of Bingo and Gus from this summer and early fall. I'm figuring out how to have a blog where I can write and put my art on-line. There are so many options and I'm crazy with my katcorrigan.com site, because I can't add to it and it's driving me crazy.
These photos haven't been added yet- learning... that's what it's all about...

I've been working on this doghouse for Home for Life for a couple weeks now, finally got it to a point where I can accept it as finished this weekend. My ever-loving husband put one coat of poly on it for me and we'll see what else needs to get done. I may touch up around the door yet, so that "love" and "home" are more visible. May need a touch of orange...
