I'm calling this FIVE WEEKS plus ONE because I have six weeks scheduled and I know chances are as an adult you may have to miss one- so I've kept my prices lower this year~ and I'm also offering a "Materials Included" option if you would like to opt for that as well.

The Studio is #210 at the Ivy Building in South Minneapolis, 2637 27th Ave S, in the Seward Neighborhood. So far, the elevators are not serviceable yet, so we will be entering from the side door parallel to the Green Way/ railroad tracks, on 27th Ave and 27th Street in the Seward Neighborhood.

Last year at this time, I proposed holding our class outside in our backyard, and that worked amazingly well and I truly loved the time I spent with you all!  It was a strong group of artists that gathered weekly, working together to learn more about color and pushing paint around, and also working to support each other through the elections and the disquiet and all else the world has had to give us. I am hoping we can continue some of that work.

I invite you to participate with us in person and masked (and I will also graciously request that you be vaccinated) at my studio in the Ivy Building for another session of Paint Love. If you have committed to my class before, thank you and please join us again!  If you have never taken a class from me, I invite you to put on your bravest self and join us.

Right now, I am not planning on having a Zoom segment for this course, although if enough people are interested, we can see if we can create an on-line Zoom only course. Please let me know!

This is an acrylic painting class, and we will be painting with a limited pallet on black canvas or panels. I will introduce a new idea each lesson, and we will have time in class to paint.  There will also be homework, and do know that I understand how hard it can be to create time to paint in your day! The idea of the homework is to press you just enough to cause a little discomforts that you will work to find some time somewhere... even just 20 minutes~
We will start each class by looking at the previous week's homework followed by discussion and your homework assignment. Questions are encouraged, as is thinking and courage. We will paint from still life objects and from photos, looking at value and proportion, composition and color mixing, brush strokes and the importance of contrast. Advanced painters are welcome, as are beginners. I will work with you to move forward from where you are.

Do please let me know if you have any questions~

Materials List is here~ If you select "Materials Included" you will be supplied with 4 to 5 6x6 panels a week and the use of all the other materials on my list-

Class sizes are limited to 10~
