And this is Gertrude! Natalie seems to find the best cats~
Gertrude Grace Butterball aka Gertie gumball was found in a crawl space, around a year old, spayed and released but feral and alone.
A neighbor fed her until she could be brought to the vet and checked over and then we volunteered to tame her and give her a home.
At first she hid in the small bathroom we kept her in, we didn’t think she could find a place we couldn’t see but she found a way up into a window well so high up we didn’t even think it was possible to access!
Over time with a lot of patience and time just hanging out and offering a brush on a stick for gentle pets she became one of the family.
She’s about a year and a half now :).
