Wahoo~ it SNOWED this morning... I took some breathtaking photos on my way to work along the River Road and ran out of memory on my camera because I hadn't erased the many photos of my students' artwork I keep taking to put on our Artsonia site! It hadn't even occurred to me before to think maybe you all would be interested in seeing what my kids do~ but here's your chance! and your link~
and here are a couple paintings I've been working on~ this really is a new action in my life I must admit, this strong attempt to paint at least a few times a week if not daily~ and I am pretty happy with my results. Unfortunately, I am also only human and need to go to bed soon~
any comments are welcome, esp on the "38thSt" one- I can't tell if it makes visual sense or not...
love!

Kat, I love your work.
I love the 38th street painting! I don't know if it makes visual sense, but emotionally it's beautiful! :)
I like the 38th st portrait to the river. Lots of feeling in it and stories. It holds together and breaks apart, kind of like a day or life. you understand or know everything around you, but look where your going . . . The sun light is pretty powerful. It draws me in.
thank you thank you! I really like it too because it feels kinda explosive in the middle, like the sun when it blasts over the horizon and directly into your corneas...
