Donkey Ears

 yes I've been painting lots of things- otters, cats, dogs and DONKEYS. Did I mention that I went to visit my friend Nancy at her ranch in Hastings, and got to take a ton of photos of these incredible creatures? So be prepared... there will be a few more of these!

I love the length of their faces and that tufty, rough, grey fur, and those long soft looking ears...

Oh and those EYELASHES!!!!

11/24 A Commission

Lil' Green Cup

 This was a demo, maybe last week I think? For my painting class~ we were doing 10 minute paintings and talking about using limited brush strokes and I think that's what this was- Its a sweet little merimac teacup, a sage green with a creamy inside and the shape sometimes defies what your brain is telling you...

I have a couple more Paint Your Pet classes this November, and then maybe a couple in December but we'll see about that, so there is ONE this Sunday the 23rd, and one a week from this Saturday just after Thanksgiving on the 29th- you can sign up here! Right now, I am REALLY needing the meditative sweep of my paint brush to pull me into the present and stop worrying (at least for a minute) about everything...

Even if you've never picked up a paint brush before, I can help you paint your (or a loved ones') pet~ I have been teaching children and adults for over twenty years and have learned from the best. 

This class is a One-Day, TWO and a HALF HOUR class in acrylic painting on black panels for $65 including ALL MATERIALS and all the help and humor I can provide! 

You will go home with something beautiful to hang on your wall or to give to someone as a unique one-of-a-kind gift. 

The only thing I need from YOU is an emailed photo of your pet (to katcorriganart@gmail.com), and I'll crop it and print it to fit our panels so you can paint it all on your own!

Come prepared to work! This is a working studio space and I do have aprons to lend out, but do be aware that acrylic doesn't come out of fabric easily~ if you don't have an apron, you can bring a paint shirt~

And you can also bring a friend!  Bring a snack! Bring your favorite beverage!  I always have tea available and sometimes treats, but this can certainly be more of a painting party than that!

Kids aged 8 and up are welcome as long as they have a willing and supportive adult to assist!
