March 19, Darling Angelina!

Here is Darling Angelina, for Deborah, who says this about her~
My sweet girl was a rescue kitty: she walked into the carrier I set on the floor at the rescue center while I was trying to corner another cat, settled in and looked at me as if to say, "Get me OUTA here!!!" And I did. Four years later, Angelina has shown a wonderful skill as nurse kitty while I have struggled with Stage IV Breast Cancer, always at my side when struggling with pain, nausea or great weariness. Purry and warm, Angelina is my great comfort.
and she was SO much fun to paint!  Look at that FACE!!!

Omigoodness, my beautiful girl! Thank you Kat!!!

I needed a companion kittie for baby Simmie (whom I had named 'Simcha' - Hebrew for 'Joy' en route home from the rescue center - until I found her hanging from the dining room chandelier while I was down the hall in the bathroom For Just a Second - and renamed her in pseudo-Yiddish 'Simmie' - "Little Shit" ;) ).

"Angel" was just one of perhaps fifty yearling cats crowded into a room who were required to fight for box and food bowl access, I was horrified at the conditions and was trying my best to corral a short-hair tortie tabby when I looked down at my carrier which I had set on the floor, and there inside was this gorgeous medium-hair calico girl whose eyes were clearly telegraphing "Get me the hell OUTAHERE!!!" so I did. I was going to call her Zsa Zsa (Gabor) because of that marvelous beauty dot on her cheek but I chose Angelina instead and she knows her name, her worth, and her very good looks. Fully Registered Nurse Cat, credentials available for review by County Home Health Nurse who thinks everyone on her list should have an RNC!
